August saw the start of preschool for Susan Margaret for the first time. Her teachers are Ms. Jaclyn and Ms. Janet, and she is in love with them!! She has a great time at school and can't wait for Mondays and Wednesdays. She is going to Bannockburn Baptist Church. John and I spent the first day of school introducing foods for the first time, and the boy likes to eat!! We started with cereal and moved on to avocado.

Somehow Susan Margaret turned 4. We had a fun party in our backyard complete with coloring and a pinata...thanks, Travis, for stepping up for the kids' sake and bustin' the thing. She is a woman of many interests, so we had a Mater, Tinker Belle, Horses and Ponies, Lions and Tigers, Mermaid, and Doggie birthday party. (which included mulitple cupcake toppers and coloring pages.)

We also got to go to Port Aransas for our first beach trip with the BYX and Phi Lamb crew from college. We got to stay with the McAfees and it was a ton of fun. We experienced Susan Margaret's first crush experience. The Brown's little boy, Joshua, spent the weekend trying to spend time (I mean it was really funny) with Susan Margaret and she remained completely unaware.

We took Susan Margaret to the Ringling Bros. Circus for her birthday, and she loved it. She loved the tigers and the high wire act, which surprised us. The only thing she didn't like was the human cannon because it was too loud. So fun!!
