Skinnin' a Muskrat

Well, the weather here is beautiful with a high of 93 degrees yesterday! Ok, so perhaps a bit warm.

We have been playing hard outside and taking care of some of our outdoor chores. Susan Margaret will soon be trying out for the Miss Outdoors Pageant as long as they accept out of town contestants! Seriously, look up the pagent....it's real! Matt and I have recently found a radio show on NPR called "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!" It is hilarious...a current events show. You can find it as a podcast.

Funny Susan Margaret tidbits.....she was playing in a pot of water outside and was attempting to drink the water like a dog. She may have to seek wise counsel from Cuz Trenten about the best dog impersonation. She sees to it that all stuffed animals receive daily loving. Walks likes a cowgirl when she wears her hot pink boots. ( It must be the heels.) She has fallen into like with baby dolls, but still seems slightly leary of them. Perhaps she feels that the babies may steal focus from her? She herself is a doll! Strong will is emerging, but she makes up for it with lots of hugs and kisses!

I'm still reading the Mitford series and highly recommend it-like a hug at the end of the day. My mom trick for the week is using frozen veggies rather than ice in Susan Margaret's smoothies. A trick from a friend at MOPS, which I also highly recommend.
